Installation of a Worcester Bosch Greenstar oil boiler to the exterior of a property in the Vale of Glamorgan.
Customer requirements
This client contacted us as he was concerned about the poor performance of his existing boiler.
During the first survey, we identified several safety concerns with the current boiler and heating system at the property. The first was that the boiler produced a large amount of soot due to incomplete combustion. We also noted during the survey that the clients’ paving slabs were saturated in heating oil. In addition, the oil tank’s position adjacent to the old boiler posed a safety threat.
Carbon monoxide can kill people; it must be taken seriously. You could see the effect of pollution on the white stone walls of the property.
Our solution
The client had been quoted a substantial sum to repair the boiler. Whilst repairing the boiler was an option, we informed the client that this would be costly. After listening to our advice, the client decided to go for a new boiler installation.
Installed in one day, we provided the client with a new Worcester Bosch Greenstar condensing oil boiler installed to the exterior of the property. This incorporated a plume management kit, resulting in grade A efficiency with the lowest emissions possible. We also worked with the customer’s contractor to move the oil tank to a new safe position.
The new Worcester Bosch boiler we installed offers over 90% efficiency, produces lower emissions, consumes less fuel and results in considerably reduced fuel bills.
