How much does a boiler installation cost in Birmingham?

The average cost of a premium gas boiler installation for a 3 bedroom house in Birmingham is £2,196. However, it should be noted that there are a significant number of properties in areas such as Digbeth, Edgbaston and Harborne that aren’t connected to the mains gas grid*.

If you live in one of these properties, a gas boiler won’t be an option and you will need to consider an oil or an LPG boiler instead. The average cost of an oil boiler in Birmingham is £4,978.

Is Birmingham a hard water area?

Supplied by Severn Trent, Birmingham has hard water. Hard water isn’t necessarily a problem though, 60% of the UK has water of this type. It just means that the water in Birmingham has higher levels of calcium carbonate than soft water.

When it comes to having a boiler installed, it will just mean that an inexpensive hard water filter will need to be fitted as part of the installation. The reason for this is when hard water is heated and left to stand the dissolved calcium carbonate minerals will solidify as limescale, which can build up and affect the efficiency of your heating system.

At Boilerhut, we provide a chemical flush of your heating system to remove any existing limescale issues.
