How much is a new boiler in Reading?
The average cost of a premium gas boiler installation for a 3 bedroom house in Reading is £2,196. However, it should be noted that there are many properties around the Bath Road, Shinfield Road, London Street and Redlands Road areas of the town that aren’t connected to the gas grid*. This means that gas boilers are not an option, and an oil or LPG boiler should be installed instead. The cost of an oil boiler installation in Reading is more expensive with an average cost of £4,978.

Is Reading a hard water area?
Reading is a hard water area. Hard water isn’t necessarily a problem though and Reading isn’t alone in having this type of water – 60% of the UK has hard water. Hard water is just water that has higher levels of calcium carbonate than soft water. What this means for a boiler installation is that you will need an inexpensive hard water filter to be fitted as part of the installation. The reason for this is when hard water is heated and left to stand the dissolved calcium carbonate minerals will solidify as limescale, which can build up and affect the efficiency of your heating system. At Boilerhut, we provide a chemical flush of your heating system to remove any existing limescale issues.

All-round great service, fabulous team, highly recommended
From start to finish, I was really impressed with the responsiveness of the team and the really high standard of work. During the process of deciding what boiler to buy, the scoping of the installation, scheduling, installation and aftercare I worked closely with Ronnie, Bernard, Sharon, Barrie and Mike and, without exception, they were all really helpful and I ended up with an excellent standard of installation. Couldn’t ask for more really.

I am delighted with the work carried…
I am delighted with the work carried out by Boilerhut to replace an old boiler situated in the living room with a combi boiler in the kitchen plus removal of two tanks and an immersion heater which has released up lots of useful space in the kitchen.
My initial contact was with Ron to whom I sent photos of the flat and we then discussed and agreed on the scope of the work. I was then sent a quote that I was happy to accept. I found Ron really helpful and accommodating when I requested a slight change to my original spec.
The fitters Gavin and Andy were polite, friendly, hard working and totally professional. They took on board my requests and also came up with a couple of better ideas than mine which I was delighted to agree to. Their work was neat and they managed to get rid of some previously very untidy pipework which I’m really pleased about.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Boilerhut to other people and wish I’d come across them before for an earlier project!

We were very very pleased with the installation by the Boilerhut engineer. Over 12 hours on the job, had to extend our gas pipe and sort out a blockage in the system. Job was clean and tidy and he
made sure the heating system was working properly and balanced all the radiators.
Sure many would have just fitted the boiler and left at 5:00

Service from Boiler Hut was top notch…
Service from Boiler Hut was top notch from start to finish. A firm quote was given over the phone based on picutres i had sent of the house and I had many conversations with the engineer to help me choose the most suitable boiler. We decided on a combi boiler and was quoted about £400 less than our cheapest quote. I paid a deposit friday and installation was arranged for the following tuesday. Workmanship is sound and the house was left as if they hadn’t been there at all. I would recomend Boiler Hut on the basis that the sales were not pushy, they gave as much time as i needed to answer questions and allow me to make an informed choice and the work was completed promptly and to a high standard.
