This client got in touch with us as he was concerned about the poor performance his boiler was producing. During the free survey we carried out, the below photograph was taken. It shows that the boiler was producing a large amount of soot due to incomplete combustion. Also noted at survey, the clients paving slabs were saturated in heating oil.
Please note the position of the LPG bottles adjacent to the old boiler, this on its own produced a safety threat. He had been quoted a substantial sum of money to have the boiler repaired, whilst the repair of the boiler was an option, this proved to be quite costly and the client opted for a new installation.
Carbon monoxide kills people. You can see the pollution effect on the white stone walls in the photo. Various options were discussed and the client opted for a new external boiler and the safe replacement of the LPG bottles as seen below:
Installed in a day, the client has a new Worcester Bosch Greenstar condensing boiler incorporating a plume management kit, resulting in grade A efficiency with the lowest emissions possible. LPG bottles were re-sited to a new safe position.
The new Worcester-Bosch boiler, pictured below, which is 90% efficient, produces lower emissions, consumes lesser fuel, resulting in considerably reduced fuel bills.
As you can see from this picture, the emissions produced are cleaner and consist of water vapour (steam) resulting in reduction of our client’s carbon footprint and cleaner walls for the future!!
