Frequently asked questions about Viessmann
Are Viessmann boilers any good?
We are often asked by customers just how good Viessmann boilers are, our answer to this is that they are excellent.
Viessmann offers the most technologically advanced and efficient boilers currently available on the UK market. Our opinion of Viessmann boilers is based on the technology employed across the range, the efficiency of its boilers, the flow rates offered by Viessmann combi boilers, and the company’s usage of components that are all manufactured in-house at its Allendorf production facility.
Key to the excellent quality of Viessmann boilers is the usage of its patented Inox-Radial stainless steel heat exchanger. Constructed from the highest grade of stainless steel, Viessmann’s heat exchangers are highly resistant to corrosion, don’t require special fluids as aluminium heat exchangers do, and are designed to retain the boiler’s efficiency for the lifetime of the appliance.
Our opinion of Viessmann is backed up by Which?, with the consumer organisation awarding the Vitodens domestic boiler range Which? Best Buy status every year since 2017. To determine Best Buy status, Which? surveys over 8,458 consumers about the boiler brand they own and whether they would recommend it to a friend. Which? also surveys over 170 registered Trusted Traders heating engineers on their thoughts about the boiler brands they work with and their thoughts about installation, services, fault fixing, and the availability of parts and spares.
Upon being awarded Best Buy status for the first time in 2017, Which? said the following about Viessmann, “Viessmann has been on the cusp of being a Best Buy boiler brand for the past few years, and 2017 sees it deservedly crack it. Its reliability score is the best of any brand” and “Two-thirds of owners would definitely recommend their Viessmann boiler to a friend. Engineers are positive about Viessmann too.”
Viessmann has now been awarded Which? Best Buy status multiple times and was described as a “very smart choice” by the consumer organisation in its latest survey.
Both our opinion and the opinion of Which? is reflected by Viessmann UK being rated excellent by Trustpilot, with a TrustScore of 4.6 on the review platform.
