A brand you can trust
Worcester Bosch is a household name, and for good reason. The Greenstar range has won the coveted Which? Best Buy award for several years. Worcester Bosch has developed a reputation as a reliable boiler brand across the UK over the last few decades. The company has an ‘Excellent’ rating on TrustPilot, based on nearly 20,000 reviews at the time of writing, and is known for quick customer service. However, whilst you may know the Worcester Bosch name and the heritage of this manufacturer both before and after its acquisition by the Bosch Group, we should be clear that this is a boiler that is filled with components from many different manufacturers. The issue here is that these components aren’t optimised to work together in the same way that the components in boilers made completely by one manufacturer are.
Plastic parts
In addition to the issue with the components noted above, it should also be made clear that many of the parts used in the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 2000 are made from plastic. The issue with plastic parts is that they are of a lower quality than brass parts and are more prone to perishing.
Commitment to energy efficiency
The Worcester Bosch Greenstar 2000 is a combi boiler, which means it doesn’t need a water tank. It uses a heat exchanger to near-instantly heat water when required.
This model runs at 93% efficiency, giving it an ErP ‘A’ rating, which means it is guaranteed to waste or over-consume very little gas to ensure your home is heated to your needs, even in cold weather.
Aluminium heat exchanger
As with all of the Worcester Bosch boiler range, the Greenstar 2000 uses an aluminium heat exchanger. This ultimately means that the energy efficiency stated above won’t last forever. This is because aluminium is prone to rust and corrosion over time from magnetite sludge and other chemicals, which will, in turn, decrease its efficiency at a much faster rate than other heat exchangers made from stainless steel.
Designed to look good
As this is a wall-mounted boiler, particular attention has been paid to the aesthetic of the product. Weighing 36kg, the simple design means it will fit with the design of most homes. The simple white casing with a black control panel gives this model a sleek look.

The Worcester Bosch Greenstar 2000 is assembled in the Worcester Bosch factory in Worcester, UK along with the other models in the Greenstar range. However, as we stated above, it is only assembled here, with many of the parts being produced by third-party manufacturers.
