Our thoughts:
The Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Style has a radiant design and boasts a high energy efficiency rating for such a powerful boiler. If you are looking to prioritise reduced carbon emissions and lower bills with your new boiler, it may be a boiler you are considering. However, it is at this point that we should highlight that whilst the energy efficiency of the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Style is great on paper, this, unfortunately, won’t last forever.
Equipped with an aluminium heat exchanger
The reason the efficiency won’t last forever is down to the heat exchanger. Whilst this is great for thermal conductivity and heat transfer, it’s not so great for corrosion resistance. The reason being that aluminium is prone to rust and this corrosion will affect efficiency over time. So whilst the boiler is advertised at 94% efficiency, this won’t be the case forever. Whilst heat exchanger issues will be covered as part of the warranty, once out of warranty the repair costs for this will be costly.
It’s not called Style for nothing…
It’s right there in the name. The Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Style would be doing something wrong if it wasn’t designed to look good – and it does. Available in high gloss black or white, with a stunning blue digital control panel, it won’t ruin your décor that is for sure.

The Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Style is assembled in the Worcester Bosch factory in Worcester, UK as are the other models in the Greenstar range. However, it is made up of components that are purchased from third-party companies. This is a negative as there are equivalent boilers at a similar price point that utilise components that are all made in-house. The benefit from these competitors is that their components are designed to work efficiently with each other.
As this model is assembled in the UK, parts are widely available though.
Plastic parts
With that said, a downside to the Greenstar 8000 Style is that many of the parts utilised within it are made from plastic and are more prone to perishing than boilers containing higher quality brass parts.
